Professional rules

The German Patent Attorneys of df-mp.tech are registered at the German Patent and Trademark Office and are members of the German Patent Attorneys Association (Patentanwaltskammer). They are subject to: Patentanwaltsordnung (PAtanwO), the German Patent Attorney Code, last amended by BGBl. I 2001, p. 3656; Berufsordnung der Patentanwälte (BOPA), the Code of Conduct for Patent Attorneys, issued by the German patent attorneys 1997, p. 243.

The German Attorneys-at-law of df-mp.tech are admitted under the law of the Federal Republic of Germany and are members of the Rechtsanwaltskammer for the Higher Regional Court district of Munich. They are subject to: Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung (BRAO), Berufsordnung (BORA), Fachanwaltsordnung (FAO), Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz (RVG) and the Code of Conduct for European Lawyers (CCBE). Current versions of these rules are available on the website of the German Federal Bar in the section "Berufsrecht" in German and English: www.brak.de.

The European Patent Attorneys of df-mp.tech are registered at the European Patent Office and are members of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi). They are subject to: the Conduct Guidelines of the Institute of Professional Representatives admitted to practice at the European Patent Office; the Rules of the Administrative Council of the European Patent Office concerning disciplinary matters; and the Code of Professional Conduct of the International Federation of Patent Attorneys (FICPI).

The European Trademark and Design Attorneys of df-mp.tech are registered at the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market. They are subject to the rules laid down in Council Regulation (EC) No 40/94 of 20 December 1993 on the Community trade mark and Council Regulation (EC) No 6/2002 of 12 December 2001 on Community Designs.

For the field of international legal practice, the German Attorneys-at-law of df-mp.tech are subject to: the Professional Code of Conduct for Attorneys at Law in the European Community (CCBE) and the Act on the Activities of European Attorneys in Germany (EuRAG).
